Hello hello chickadees!  I have some very exciting news for you!  I was invited to blog Culture Shock 2012 and give you a sneak peak at some of the goodies that you’ll be able to pick up!  This is the second year of Culture Shock, a CHIC Management event sponsored by MODAVIA Productions with proceeds going to Medicins Sans Frontieres (Doctors without Borders).  Last year, over $1 million linden was raised!

Every store has a mandatory participation of one NEW and EXCLUSIVE (for the duration of the event) item that gives 50 – 100% of the profits to the charity!

Culture Shock will be up and running May 4th through May 26th.  Please keep in mind that there is a script gate at the landing point.  Only 50 scripts or less must be worn in order to enter the event to help reduce lag.

Hi loves!  I don’t have a specific LOTD for you, because instead I have a huge surprise that I know you’re going to be super excited about!  Tyr Rozenblum of Aura is releasing her full release of her new Briar skin on February 1st, and I have a sneak peak for you!  Tyr has absolutely outdone herself, there is not a single flaw to this skin and I am completely in love!  I went all out and photographed every single makeup option thats going to be released.  There are five skin tones: Milk, Cream, Honey, Caramel, and Espresso (listed from palest to darkest, respectively), 16 possible makeups with each tone, and six optional tattoo layer lip options– in addition, each skin comes with a cleavage, freckles, and freckles+cleavage option!  So please prepare yourselves for an onslaught of photos!  I did not crop these very much so I do encourage you to click and enlarge them so that you may see more detail   I have pictured all of the options in the ‘honey’ skin tone, which I am currently the most partial to!  I am also wearing a tattoo layer eyebrow, because the eyebrows that come with this skin are a tad lighter than what I like (since I only ever wear black hairs).

notes on these:  All of them, as I stated before, have a menu that is accessed by touch to change their textures.  The blindfold colors all change, but some of them (such as Growth & Eye Surprise) have extra textures that change as well (like the tentacles, suction cups, etc).  In addition, Warning changes color gradually, shifting through basically all the colors of the rainbow, and TV Medicated is animated to look like a tv stuck on white noise.  They’re all amazing!!

A VERY ROTTEN CHRISTMAS

So my dear friend Rogue Falconer (owner & creator of *RoTtEn DeFiAnCe*) single-handedly organized an amazing hunt.  This year kicks off the first annual ‘A Very Rotten Christmas’ Hunt, and I am so very proud and inspired by her for doing this!  I was added to the bloggers group, where we bloggers were able to get items ahead of time in order to show everyone what exactly they can look forward to, but in my appreciation of hunts (and of Rogue for putting this all together,) I waited until today and did the hunt from start to finish!  SO EXCITED.  I have SO MUCH TO SHOW YOU!  Be advised, this is a very, very picture-heavy post, but I really wanted to show you a slew of the items in here.  BRACE YOURSELVES!

So firstly, the stores that participated (and unfortunately, a few dropped out at the last second – you store owners know who you are, and I have to say I’m really disappointed.  if Aikea from Plastik can join this hunt after the tragedy that just occurred for her, I really don’t see any reason why anyone else could POSSIBLY justify dropping the day before/day of this hunt- and don’t give me any BS; I’ve owned stores before I know how it goes, and I have friends in this hunt who were all under a lot of other pressure for RL & SL projects and they still managed.– yeah that’s right, I’m calling you out) are all amazing, and I’m going to list them here for you before I show the items.  Don’t forget, all information in regards to the hunt can be found at Rogue’s hunt blog.
